Darren Pight, Ed.D. is a seasoned educator and future Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 15 years of experience working with children, families, and communities. His career is rooted in a passion for healing, growth, and connection—particularly through trauma-informed practices. Dr. Pight is a certified trainer in several key models: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), which teaches safe and effective de-escalation strategies; Risking Connection (RC), a trauma-focused model centered on the power of safe relationships; and the Parent Education Program (PEP), a state-mandated course that supports co-parents in prioritizing their children’s needs through separation or divorce.

A committed Christian, Darren’s faith and values have played a central role in shaping his personal and professional life. His Christian beliefs guide his approach to supporting others, helping him navigate the complexities of trauma, family dynamics, and emotional healing with compassion, wisdom, and integrity.

Darren is happily married to his wife of 14 years, Sharon. Together, they are raising two daughters—Kylie and Skylar—who inspire his ongoing commitment to creating safe, supportive environments for children and families.

As he transitions into the counseling profession, Dr. Pight remains dedicated to bridging the fields of education and mental health. His goal is to continue empowering others through empathy, knowledge, and faith-informed care that honors the dignity and potential of every individual. He aims to create safe environments where people are free to express their feelings, emotions, and struggles—and then walk alongside them as they build the tools needed to overcome whatever obstacles they face.
