Family Fun Event

This community-wide event combines a family-friendly Touch-A-Truck experience with a Job Fair. While children engage with hands-on vehicle exploration, adults and young adults can connect with representatives from Waterbury Public Works, Law Enforcement, First Responders and local construction companies to learn about employment opportunities, training pathways, and career.

At Touch-A-Truck, kids can climb into real trucks, meet the friendly operators who drive them every day, and see exciting live truck demonstrations up close. From fire engines to construction vehicles, they’ll learn what each truck does and how it helps our city—all while having hands-on fun they won’t forget.
There’s more than just trucks at Touch-A-Truck—it’s a full day of family fun! 🎉
Kids will learn who makes our trash disappear with Environmental Magician Cyril, enjoy age-appropriate games and activities away from the trucks, and dance along to music playing throughout the event. It’s a fun, interactive way for families to learn, laugh, and celebrate the everyday heroes who keep our city running.
